During a server scan, an exploit was discovered within the ProFTP service running on the server, server1.hostingnz.net.nz.
This has also apparently affected several other servers in the data centre as well and to help prevent our servers being subject to a possible exploit, we are stopping and disabling proftpd on the affected server.
The data center admins are currently working on the situation and we will advise when, and if, it is re-enabled. This will most likely depend on the ProFTP product vendor supplying a patch or fix. To date, this has not happened. We apologise for any inconvenience caused.
