Nameserver IP address update

APNIC are requiring the data center we use to change around some of their IP addresses, and unfortunately, they are taking back the server's IP addresses 60.234.41.88 and 60.234.41.89. Server1.hostingnz.net.nz now requires new IP addresses to be assigned to it.

IP address changes can be inconvenient, and in this case the change is out of our hands and needs to go ahead.

If you have hosting and domain registration with HostingNZ, you don't need to do anything. We will look after everything for you.

If you have hosting services with HostingNZ but manage your own domain, we will update your sites DNS information, but you may need to update your domain nameserver details with the following information with your Domain Registrar if you use IP addressing as well as our standard NS names:

  • NS1: 60.234.72.231
  • NS2: 60.234.72.232

We are currently running both sets of IP addresses at the moment, but please make sure you have updated your Domain nameserver info by the 12th of November as the old IP addresses will stop responding after the changeover.

At some point during this process, we will need to restart the server meaning your site may be offline for approx 5-10 minutes. We will schedule this for a low traffic period.

Please contact us via the ticket support system if you have any questions.
